Following the success at Brandon Road, we will be moving forward with the next phases of investment. Within the coming weeks, we will be submitting an application for a purpose-built best-in class facility. This follows a successful public consultation in the Summer of 2023.

The scheme is being proposed at five-storeys, with light industrial facilities occupying the ground floor along with a new open and accessible reception area. The first to fourth floors are currently intended for laboratory and R&D space.

A key focus for the design of the building is making the building as accessible as possible, as well as ensuring that the character of the development matches the Tileyard Quarter. For instance, specific glazing has been incorporated into the designs of the proposals to allow activities carried out within the facilities to be visible from street level, as well as selecting cladding materials that reflect the history of the site.

Kadans acquired 22-23 Tileyard Road towards the end of 2023. The site already has existing planning permission and the site cleared in preparation for development.

We are pleased to be delivering this site in coordination with 18-20 Tileyard Road. Upon completion the building will be a purpose-built, high-quality laboratory facility.
​
It will form a natural extension to the proposals at 18-20 Tileyard Road and will act as the second half of the cluster being built across Tileyard Quarter.
